When out of the box is not exactly what you wanted. We try to go our of our way to help you to customize your kit to your exact needs online and without having to reach out to us; however if you need to do so, we are open to that as well but it may take a bit longer. Here we offer options that you as a customer can choose on your own to make your kit and project "custom" to your needs; whether it be:

All of these are options that can be added to your cart so that we know exactly what you need without the phone calls and emails back and forth. If we see something that doesn't look just right, we'll try to catch it and get in touch with you to work it out and make sure your order goes out right the first time and every time.
REGULATOR Substitutions:
The propane gas regulator is one of the most important parts of a propane gas system. The purpose of the regulator is to control the flow of gas and lower the pressure from the tank to the appliance(s) in the gas system. The regulator not only acts as a control regarding the flow and distribution of propane but also as a safety barrier between the high pressure of the tank and the end use appliance(s). Most will rightfully argue that the LP Gas regulator is the heart of any propane gas system.
"A regulator is a regulator" is a misleading statement that many consumers believe to be true. The fact is that installing the wrong kind of regulator will generally render a propane gas system inoperable. For example you cannot install a high pressure first stage regulator such as we have below in an already plumbed LP gas system. The regulators below take upwards of 100 pounds of pressure to even open and thus will not regulate or work in a system where there is not "tank pressure" of over this amount in front of it.
LP Regulators CHOSEN below are to REPLACE the regulator in the Kit you have placed in your cart. IF YOU CHOOSE A REGULATOR below and don't have an accompanying kit with a regulator to replace, we will not be responsible for any re-shipping costs, and errors that may occur with your order. DEFINITIONS of our Regulators:
1). REGA+ :
- Available with the Diaphragm Spin knob on request.
- Has been replaced with all new REG20NV for a more consistent operation experience.
- This regulator is adjustable, but its sweet spot is 1' to 3' high flames.
- Not Great for Ambiance ( 2" - 8" Low Flame height) Applications.
- Perfect for Higher Flame replacing the log fire; and are more concerned with producing eye popping, sun burn creating, knock them down Applications.
- NOT for table top or ambiance piddly little 2"-6" flames, you will play "chase the flames" and this regulator is not advised; (as when the regulator gets colder from the reaction of LP liquid to LP gas it tends to make the diaphragm in the regulator "clench" up and drop flame height; repeatedly).
2). REG20NV :
- This regulator is adjustable, and consistent at most heights.
- This regulator is now stardard in EVERY Propane KIT and replaces the REGA+ formerly included.
- Can produce up to 6 ft high flames when "turned up."
3). REG5NV :
- This regulator is adjustable, and consistent at most heights.
- Ideal replacement for REG20NV for Fire Table or Wine Barrel applications where a 3-6 ft high flame is not needed or wanted; also ideal for fire bowls and torches.
4). REG5+ :
- This regulator is not-adjustable without an added accessory.
- Perfect for Table Top Applications (where you dont need 5' high flames) but will still produce upwards of 1-2' high when wanted.
- Best with any Deluxe Kit (CK+, ITCK+) as the Key Valve is already there to ON/ OFF / Regulate the flames and having 2 regulators tends to Make Spouses Crazy and Argumentative.
- Can be Used in Basic Kit (CK) with Mini Needle Valve (NV14MF) as a consistent "ambiance compatible" regulatory device that wont make super duper high flames.
5). REG20F+ :
- This regulator is not-adjustable without an added accessory.
- Perfect for all applications whether for flame height or Ambiance when paired Key Valve or Mini Needle Valve companion
- Best to Use with any Deluxe Kit (CK+, ITCK+) as the Key Valve is already there to ON/ OFF / Regulate the flames and having 2 regulators tends to Make Spouses Crazy and Argumentative.
- Can be Used in Basic Kit (CK) with Mini Needle Valve (NV14MF) as a consistent "ambiance compatible" regulatory device that wont make super duper high flames.
6). REG2XLP:
- This regulator is adjustable by its Manual Switchover lever.
- This regulator connects to (2) LP tanks but only draws from one at a time. When one tank is empty or low or iced up, you can switch over to the other tank without shutting down the fire features.
- Allows you to Swap Tanks in mid party without shutting down fire.
- BEST when using for larger rings and burners when there is more of a chance of a tank icing up.
- Can be Used with Basic Kit (CK) but you will always have to adjust near to the tank.

Not Cheap. Not something we'll continue to carry so when they are gone they are gone. SUPER HEAVY DUTY! And when you dont want to use a lighter (or can't) these are perfect. Can be timer controlled, light switch activated, and throttled via a key valve (deluxe kit). If the flames go out, the AWEIS lights it back up.
